How much tulle for a table skirt
How much tulle do i need to cover 6 feet table
If you are planning to make a fuller table skirt for 6 feet table, you can either cover all 4 sides of it. or else you can cover 3 sides and can leave back side.
I am assuming here that you want 30″ height table skirt. Tulle comes in 2 widths – 54″ and 108″ wide… YOu can buy it here at Fabric.com at reasonable rates in various colors by selecting Tulle from sidebar. If you buy 54″ wide, you can not cut 54″ into 2 30″ wide stripes so after taking 31″ wide fabric (taking 1″ seam allowance), remaining 23″ will be wasted. If you buy 108″ wide tulle, you can get 3 stripes of 31″ with remaining 13″. So i would prefer 108″ wide fabric.
3 sided fuller table skirt for 6 feet table will need approx 71 yard of stripes so if you buy 108″ wide fabric, you need 71 / 3 = 24 Yard . It will cover one longer side and 2 shorter sides.
If you want to cover one shorter side and two longer sides, than 3 sided table skirt needs 95 yards. Means 108″ wide tulle, you need 95/3 = 32 yards.
4 sided fuller table skirt for 6 feet table will need approx 112 yard of fabric. so it will be 112/3 = 38 yard for 108″ wide fabric.
Do you want to measure it for any other size of table? Just contact me and i will let you know how much fabric do you need.
