For 15″ long bedskirt, adding 2″ for seam , you need 17,” wide straps. and in 40″ wide fabric, you will get two pieces of 17″ wide straps. so after calculate how long straps we need, we will divide in half.

Twin bed – 39 X 75″ -> 75 + 39 + 75 = 189″ + 2″ for seam = 191″ + 48″ for pleats = 239″. divide by 2 as fabric is 40″ wide = 239/2 = 120″. If you convert it in yard, it will be 3.34 yards you need.
